As A Choreographer...

I abet dancers to make choices that create messes for me to clean up. My work stems from encouraging childlike wonder and individual expression. It is not my job to provide and then contain dancers to my blueprint, but to guide the dancers through discovery and solve for adjustments as the translation of movement from one body to another is never perfect. With priorities of fun, research, and celebration, we create performances that showcase confidence in our physical differences and the mistakes that are brought forth in the creative process. In valuing honesty and clarity, it means my job is to ensure dancers are passionate and personally invested in what they are performing. I want to create shows that check things off of performers’ bucket lists; I love a challenge and am in the business of making dreams come true.
